Where do u guys get ur online stuff from?
Goes with some of the online e-tailers who are frauds and thieves as well, they seem to proliferate on forums and we seem to always hear the same stories. Find me a product that I sell for 4x the markup as compared to the same product, bought in Canada with warranty, online. Then I will show you a thief.
I never said your shop in paticular. And yes there is Fraud and theives online, retailers included. Its very easy to find shops charge 2-3x easy. And I understand that warranty and service costs money. But if people want to deal with US to get the warranty through them and choose not to pay for the Canadian warranty then I think thats there choice. Im not bashing you, you guys are the ones that started joking around with the steal it deal not me. I have had a shop as well and know whats its about. Bottom line is all the products pretty much come out of the US anyways. Look I wasn't bashing shops for what they do. Just some of us need the other alternatives to help us achive our systems. Alright? No fighting guys? Ok im done.
if you can not find that amp @ a local shop then try this online store on ebay ( indoaudio.com ) that amp your looking for is $125.02 they have great prices and i know a few people who bought from them and had no problems
I'm a little concerned about how you do business, I look at your sig. and read your comments about owning your own business, yet you readily send a customer to buy in the US market...good recipe for going out of business if you ask me. Mind you, how you do your business is absolutely no business of mine.
Well this is the way I look at it and tell me if I'm way off. The customer is going to do what they like period. And Im not authorized for PG even though I can get it. My supplier had none. I have already done business with Turnstyles and sold him some products. So if he is going to goto the internet via ebay or a US site I still would recommend a place where the possiblity of getting ripped off is minimal. In my eyes because our transaction is over doesn't mean he's still not my customer. He may purchase again and may not. But in the end I look out for my customers be it old or new........I'm I off??
This is where it pays to know your stuff. Is there a chance the customer will get burned? Yes. Is there a chance that if he has a warranty issue he cannot get looked after in Canada, definitely. Would the onus lie on him to pay all shipping charges, definitely. Is the onus on him to pay customs / brokerage, yes definitely. However, if you know of a authorized Phoenix Gold dealer in Canada that is also clearing out the product, why not use the resources that you have in front of you instead of selling yourself and the Canadian market place short. In one phone call I found this amp for a great price in Canadian funds with absolutely zero issues with warranty, brokerage and customs crap. This is how to keep business in Canada and keep your customer happy.

I usually try to keep quiet on this one, but you know Rob the industry in canada is gonna have to start to face the fact that online sales are happening and instead of burrying thier heads in the sand and hopping it goes away they need to learn to work it to their advantage.
I for one would love an online place such as crutchfield or sounddomain to buy authorised goods with a warrenty sold at msrp or a manufacturer agreed upon sale price .....the closest car audio shop to me is a 14hr drive away and the convienience of that alone would be worth it.
so far for car audio all I can find is Futureshop and Best buy, Btw why is it they get to sell stuff online, I guess money talks eh
I've started buying car stuff, clothes, movies, music and home electronics online because of the convience of a bit of surfing in my spare time and a few mouse clicks and it will show up in my mail a bit later. Lucky for me so far I have found authorised online vendors for my clothes and car/truck parts in canada and would gladly shop at a canadian online place if one existed.
I've even popped my ebay cherrie a while back for some used car parts, but again I only buy stuff in canada
as for places to buy car audio stuff online from the states...... I'd surf all the little hole in the wall audio site and find the lowest price, then go to someplace reputable like sounddomain and use their pricematch service to get it at a low price from them.
