From the link, it looks like Zapco has components made for them from the Korean company Nextem.

i dont know much about the amp nor how it's made. The only thing i want to ask/know why do these amps not get send to real competitors who are recognized on the north american competition scene and could potentially give positive exposure to the product? Why do these amps get sent to someone who will provide no exposure whatsoever? Someone who might make a thread on the forum about what the amp puts out. Why not send it to someone who can use/prove/demonstrate the amp's capability in a real life SPL setting while doing a decent number at a big event.
that's my only issue.
for arguement's sake, how many people who asked for this amp even have a certified 150+ on their stats page? If you dont have a stats page you shouldnt even be reading this thread, never mind askin for one of the amps.

AmericanBass amps are not made in China i just thought i would say that. p.s The comment he made are harsh but just because the loudest man on the planet uses those amp dosent mean you will gain 5 db because you use them. Alan could run pyramid and break a 177 trust me he needs like 2k to do 175dbs

While I won't be personally recieving the amp I will however be testing this amp along with dealers and a few owners in a few different set ups from street to extreme.
Doing a huge number does not instantly make any one person qualified to present products to dealers. Big numbers is always nice but you must look at what the cost of the product, how fast does repairs take, product support, shipping date from the time an order is placed and so many other aspects. And how does it compare in all these aspects to what its main competition would be. In this case the 8K's main competition would be the 7K2D from Stetsom and currently has not yet officially released a msrp.
So sending the amp to many reputable people that will honestly review a product and probably order $30-$60k over the course of a year or send an amp to a guy who can hit big numbers? Not a hard choice.
Soundigital isn't giving out free amps, I think some people forget that samples still belong to the company who sent it. And all of this is still assuming Soundigital has sent the amp I have no idea about that.
