Amps are 95% assembled by machine anyway so it really makes little difference WHERE it is made. More important is which corners are cut to make it more profitable.

^^ Correct. It mostly comes down to consistant quality control from start to finish in all areas of manufacture as well as all runs on manufacture. Once this can be attained a consistantly good amplifier is produced.

There are good Korean manufacturers and bad ones. Fortunately all of my Digital Designs equipment is made in one of the good ones (well, it is now at least).

whats most important for sound digital is that they get off their *** and get these amps into the hands of people who are able to test them for SPL which is their main market, if the stetsom amp comes out before these are tested and proven they can say goodbye to any sales because I have heard about this amp for months and yet noone has one yet this doesn't leave a good impression, its too bad Yuli didn't get one we could actually get some people together and do a huge amp shootout with all the differance amps people have around here

only problem with that is the BIG ppl here are on the opposite side of the country to where your sending the amp. Aside from riprock and a few others, the majority of the class leading canadian competitors arent in western canada.

Thanks for all this attention people, SounDigital way of thinkin about the international sales is this: slow and strong growth.

Every consumer will receive plenty attencion in order to keep relations.

That is the main reasons that in this time makes difficult to me to send an SD amp to a lot of places to test purposes.

Bye people!

most people who buy amps all the time are street competitors, you should have sent it to where the loud street guys are period. Oh well maybe it won't affect you but this blunder will likely hurt Canadian sales because there are far fewer people in the West who care about gear like this

We also offered to test these... in our team we have just about every option you could want for a competition setup.

Street A setup with a 650ci battery (my car)

A single 850ci battery (Amy Barr or Ed)

Dual 12v batteries (SPL Inc.)

Plus a NW van for the 16v setup.

I talked to Murilo about all of this... he said he had to talk to the owner of the company.. but I guess we weren't what they were looking for.

I understand where you guys are coming from but you have to understand that from a business standpoint they probably don't care about individual competitors like us.

Don works at a shop and has contacts with many others. The prospect of getting the line in to shops that will actually sell the amps rather than competitors who will just promote them made more sense to SD at this time. (not that I agree with it but I can see why they made the decision)

yeah the problem is that I highly doubt they will sell many of these amps unless they get hyped up which they won't imo but I have a limited view of the audio market maybe people who know more will realise how this made any sense whatsoever...sending the amp to the middle of nowhere where almost noone is there who can show off what the product can do I mean

Jordy, I won't be the one receiving the amp, only one of the many people who will be testing it out, I would imagine this amp will put on alot of miles before it returns to the company or is purchased. I would expect SD to send an amp out east for people to test, and I would recommend it.

For the small investment of sending out an amp for people to test not only shows good faith on SD's part but also shows they are confident enough that they know that once people get playing with this amp they will be hooked. Now lets see if the amp actually gets here.

Jordy would be a good person to send and watch over/test the amp Murilo, I would give him a good reference along with some others out east.

I would guess since Murilo is moving to Winnipeg it would be logical to send it to the area first. As far as the amp taking part in the market share in Canada, that really depends on giving store front locations the price, support and backing that new products need.

The #1 priority on the list would be to get a authorized repair depot in Canada set-up for those who push product to the breaking points and don't want to wait 2+ months for repair.

Its very difficult in todays market for dealers to be competitive with online sales and I will be interested in how SD plans to roll out North American sales.
