Why is it?
That when you need something done and have to have someone else do it, they screw it up or can't do it for god knows how long. It was a simple job to do, use your computer CNC plasma cutter and cut me out these 4 steel rings. Two came out great, 2 came out....well let's just say they have to be done again and now they are closed for the weekend and the guy who runs the machine is gone away for the week. Just flippin great. Man I wish I had my own plasma cutter and contol unit.
woow.. i hate that hey man! sory to hear, but a good Rant sometimes help! i try and go by the saying....
"If you want something done RIGHT, Do it Yourself!!"
i quickly learnt that.... the hard way alotta times as well

No, no, it was for the new trend I'm starting at he peeler bar for nipple piercings.
I'm mounting 2 titanium 12" subs in clear acrylic on a slight angle. The same is said for a second customer with 2 aluminum 12's. Both boxes are mirror plexi on the inside and edge lit with multicolour led's. The sheer weight of the subs on the 1" acrylic kind of scares me as far as mounting the subs through it. So we make some nice 1/4" steel rings, powder coat them when we do the amps on Tuesday and they basically act as a huge washer. The "washer" goes on the inside of the box against the acrylic and allows the nylock nut from the subs mounting bolt to rest against it to secure the sub properly. The washer then helps to distribute the pressure across the acrylic instead of having it all on the bolt holes mounting point through the acrylic. I've been taking some pics that when time allows me to learn how to post them here, it will be done for all to see.

This kind of stuff happens to me on a regular basis. If you want something done right, do it your self. However in the case where high dollar, hard to access equipment is required, doing it yourself is not often viable.
Before I moved out of my parents place I had the run of my dad's massive woodworking shop.
Now I have to find other people to do my woodworking and to get a decent job (and done when it is supposed to be done) is a challenge.
I will be building my own little shop in the garage soon.

sometimes doing things on your own for yourself or for others isnt exactly pratical because of work schedules or money or what have you.
but if you have the time and the funds it makes things that much easier. and if it doesn't come out the way you want you only have yourself to blame

if a cnc machine was cutting them they should have all been identical, unless changes were made between cut, then its the cnc guys fault, but if they were all cut at the same time, which doesnt seem likely, perhjaps there was a material issue. a friend of mine runs a aluminum cnc machine here in kelowna and its pretty cool to see what he does and how it works

If someone doesn't have the time to complete a job as outlined above they shouldn't waste the time of the customer. It's that simple.
