im getting a annoying popping kinda noise from my new 12" mach 5 ixl i bought it sat and sunday i had it in a pros shop(where i bought it) and he tuned it for me and such and today i slowly turned up the gain a bit (was about (1/4)on about 800watt amp. and when i turn the volume up i get a popping noise i noticed the sub isnt all the way in on one side so i get a tiny air leak could that be causing that noise and bottoming the sub out? cuz it sounds good but as for my type r it replaced im not fully satisfied right now. also i needa new box design for my box if someone can help whats a good size and tuning for the sub? the guy at the shop said like 2@38 would be good what are some other sugg. or would that be good? if someone is nice enough (jalat) dimensions are 30W-15H depth dont matter.

 

those woofers has a low FS.

suggested enclosure specs are 1.8 cubes @ 33hz
