Quote: One question, how do i make it stick? I can just attach it to the body with a screw but what about the rca? solder?
just strip back the insulation about 2" of the #18 guage wire, then wrap the bare wire around the rca ground, then twisted then tape it up. (this is just for testing)

if noise goes away then... you could send the deck in for service.

I just tried to ground the amp side of the RCAs and it added more noise...if you were talking about the pioneer preout ground issue, my deck does not have that problem, the older pioneer before this got that problem and it worked when i grounded the RCA but this deck dosent have that problem

soooo anyone else have any input? its pissing me off...anyone in toronto think they can fix it or find the problem?

Well, so far you havn't try anything i suggested....... grounding at the amp is not the same as the deck. and you still havn't try to listen to the deck with a portable device.

I will try the deck and the ipod thing tomorrow when i get the pioneer key to take the deck out...

I was thinking and thought it should be the same if i ground the RCAs before it goes into the amp but it seems to be wrong...

Will post again once i tried the things you said.
