wire guage feeding my amp

Ok I have 6 guage going to a dist. block. Will be feeding 2 amps - 150 watts rms each. That means each load has a max draw of 12.5 amps.

in theory, would 14g be enough because it can handle an ampacity for 15amps (and 12.5 amps is approx 80% of load capacity for 14g).

I will prob use 10 or 12 to each amp, but wanted to hear anyone elses opinion.

Are you on a severly tight budget or something? Geeze man.........Just go out and buy 8 guage to run to both amps, the easier the current flows the less strain is on your amps. It's only like 50 cents a foot at some places

Do a minimum of 10 gauge. Even that is getting small for my liking (even for the short distance)

Its obvious you can always go out and buy bigger wire, and beleive me, i'm not worried about the price of 8 ft of wire.
I just wanted to know from a technical standpoint, what the correct ampacity RATINGS were for current & length. Thnx for the post though.
