So yesterday a cop comes into the store. Pulled in in cop car, in full uniform. He says he's looking for a nav/dvd unit for his truck. I show him the pioneer z1 and he's all pissed off that it wont play video while hes driving. He tells me he can bypass that, I say, not on a nav unit. (Although im sure it can be done, like the N3) because the nav antenna or gyro tells it when its moving. Then he wants me to put an overhead in the front, then gets all pissed off cuz we won't do that ghetto and illegal install. I try and tell him that we can't do it for obvious reasons, like if he crashes into a school bus full of screaming children and blames us. Or that the edmonton police have given other customers of mine Stunting tickets for that.
I couldn't beleive this guy. Not sure if he is stupid, or had nothing better to do

 

The guy is a tool. Get his number and call his watch commander.

 

I got yelled at today because i refused to install some guys $100 portable DVD player on the dash in his BMW...the guy must have thought i was a total dick because i kept stifling a laugh, he actually told me he didnt care, and he just wanted it hard wired and glued, yes glued...aparantly another shop in town quoted him $75 to do it!

 

That's some high end install there. Glued to the dash. Is that how they did it in India?

 

oddly enough, he had the accent and skin tone of a man from those parts...good guess!
