Wires reversed on sub

Ok, I had my wires reversed for the past 2 weeks (put my sub into a sealed box to see how it sounded) and I had the + and - wires reversed. Would this damage my sub or amp at all? (its a 12" Type R)

Absolutely not. As a matter of fact, it may sound better.

Many times electrically wiring a sub out of phase brings it closer to being ascoutically in phase with the rest of the speakers.

Thanks!
