Your first car stereo

my first was the stock tapedeck in my 1990 pontiac transsport minivan hooked up to a 100watt Alpine amp that has its power spliced in through the rear cigarette lighter and 2 used Orion Cobalt 12s in a sealed box that was shaped so it would fit behind the last row of seats in the van. Then when I got enough money I got a deck which was a clarion drx7575Z (which I still use lol) and then added 3 10" EPX high mass series woofers also in sealed boxes to my 2 12" cobalts and ran them off a Rockford 360a2 amp. Then I sold all that stuff and bought my first set of shockers...shocker2 12a's and put them in a ported box off a non-modded MMATS D300HC. That got the SPL bug in my system so I got a pair of shocker2 15b's and ran them but I liked the 12s better so I got some shocker2 12b's and went to my first competition (Audiothunder 2001) where I came third. Shocker had a trade in offer at the time so then I traded them in for a pair of shocker extreme 12s that I used for the rest of the season although I did get them reconed to differant spiders and coils a few times and switched the amp up to an earthquake D2 and that system got me up to a 155.0 on the old termlab meter. then it escalated from there lol

crappy 3 year old clarion cd player hooked up to 2 alpine 5x7 and 2 home theater speakers in the back, also hooked up to a 8" home theater passive sub.....dang that sucked.
o ya, I also had a passive 8" jensen sub in a "bass tube", bass was "ok" but SQ sucked big time.
