45's or round

Starting to brain storm my box plans for next season, and this is one subject that people seem to say both. I know some of the louder street cars are on this board, and a lot of you are veterans, so lets hear some opinions.

It's going to be a typical ported box for spl only. Is it better to round the corners, or 45 them?

generally the rounder the better. just dont take out too much volume out of the box.

you do both actually, start off with a 45 then round it out

Volume won't be a problem. I'll be building with corners calculated, and that will also be what will get the box fine tuned.

Next question. Speaker placement. Close the port, as far as possible, or around center?

i normally put mine as far away as possible. i've noticed that it is louder this way if using AERO ports. i dont know about slot ports, i think in a slot port box it would depend on the port design.

like Yuli said furthest away from port works best.. even with regular slot ports..but if u have a long folded slot port you want the sub to be loading off of the port wall

here is a quick pic of what I have learned from experience
