My brother-in-law has picked up one of the cheap 47buck 10" pioneer subs from futureshop.

Pioneer 10"

It is the TS-W29C 10". He is running 120 watts to it.

I was wondering what the best size box would be for this sub? It is behind the seat of a regular cab pick-up. Should I stick with sealed or can it do ported?

Pioneer recomends 1.0 cu/ft, I assume sealed. Is this an acceptable size? Both rock and dance/hip hop will be played.

Thanks for any help,
Later,
Brad

you should bew able to get enough space out of it to port it. About 1.3cubes ported should be fine, you will have better efficiency with a ported box and better output
