Aeroports v.s. sloted
now many guys are using 3 4" aero ports. 6 inch displaces more air.
its like this, in europe they use one 6 inch port b/c their boxes are so small so that 2 4 inch wont fit and one 4 icnch is not enough (the size of the car limits the size of the box over there)
here our cars are big enough for the box to expand and fit two 6 inch ports. so we would use two 6 inch ports and not just one.

(to keep the thread going)Why not 8" or 10" ports?
Why not have a box that takes up the entire storage area of your jeep with a little baffle to hold a 12" sub?
Basically I'm just wondering where the point is that it doesn't help any more to have a bigger port.

I've got something in the works, so I wanted to know if I should keep trying or if it's just a waste of my time.

Ok, here's the deal.
Aeroports are essentially a venturi, any time you have a conduit that has a larger entrance and exit than the passage, air will accelerate as it flows through it. This is how a carburator works, air accelerates through a venturi and creates either vacuum or pressure. This is what pulls fuel into the engine.
In a box it works the same way, you have the woofer movement creating airflow through the port. The air is accelerating as it travels through the port increasing or decreasing the pressure as it does, this is why an aeroport can be ever so slightly louder than your standard round or square port.
