which amp to get for most spl?
I have 2 10 inch re audio sx 10's in a ported 2.75 cf box. I used to run them off an alpine vpower 1000rms. I wanted more so I got a bxi2608d for cheap and it pounded. It pounded so much that it broke 3 of my tail lights. Also it drained my charging system like crazy. I sold that to downgrade slightly. I went and bought a planet audio bb1400.1. What a mistake. I went from crazy bass right back to what my alpine 1000watt sounded like. So I sold that one. Now I want something in between the alpine and the bxi2600watt. I am looking at the bxi2006d or the picasso 2000d. they are around the same price. What do you think I should bye out of those 2 or any other suggestions for 300 US.

I know my electrical is crappy and I know I am way out of true big spl league but I want to know which one of those amps would give me the most spl on that charging system. hifonics bxi2006d or the picasso 2000d. Probably won't be too much different but I am shelling out 300 bucks and don't want to make the mistake again of buying a planet audio amp again. BTW the bxi2008d that I had did cut out from lack of power.

I know. Stupid move that I have to live with. I thought that I could just downgrade a bit as to not put so much strain on my charging system. When I had that amp it did pound and it also made my re audio's smell like burnt toast when I cranked it for a while. I need another amp pronto that is just slightly smaller than the bxi2608d. I am going to buy one of the 2 that I mentioned. I just want opinoins on which one. What would you out of those 2 if you only had those 2 options?

you cars electricle systems doesnt make slp, having enough power so that you can properly power all your eqipment does. if your head lights dim alot when your bass is going you should upgrade your elec system. you can do the big 3 its the best way. along with a new battery maybe.

Ok nevermind. I have the big 3 done and I know all about what makes spl. They don't make H/O alternators yet for the genesis coupe and I am not going to spend loads to get mine rebuilt. I also tried putting in a second battery and didn't do squat. I just want an opinion on what amp to get out of the 2 mentioned.
