Ok thats an answer, not a bunch of rigmarole. It sure does take a while to get a straight forward answer. I guess if they are the same output roughly then it comes down to looks. Next time I won't post a question like that in spl cause I guess you guys are just too good for entry level posers like me. lol.

Soundigital gets the most spl. as for your choices, regardless of the make of the amp or model car, your electrical will play a huge role in how much your amp can put out and sustain. moreover, there are a million other variables that will play a role in how much spl your vehicle will produce. if I had to give you a definite answer I'd say take the Hifonics just because its rated at 2600 rms vs 2000, just make sure you're not buying from W O T. either way, you've picked two relatively equal amps, so the difference will be everything else, though the "extra" 600 watts will help, or should at least.

You put in a second battery and that didn't do anything??? did you run the second battery at the back of the car? I'm really surprised by you saying that the second battery didn't do anything. What batteries were you using?

does it matter where the second battery goes? i have a spare battery thats the exact same as my stock battery and i was going to use some jumper cables and do some quick testing to see if the lights stop dimming. i was just going to put it on top of my stock battery and use the jumper cables to add it to the mix.

The second battery I put in was a deep cycle battery that I was using for my fishing boat. Nautilus 750 cca. The battery is 1 year old and is fine. I put it right next to my bxi2608d with 4g wire, wired in parellel with my stock battery to see if that would help. Nope, the lights still dimmed the same as before and the amp still cut out on certian bass tones. The only difference it made was to add extra weight to my car and you could here the battery bubbling inside. I have the big 3 done with 1/0 g wire. The bxi2600 made my subs pound like jackhammers but I looked like a strobe light going down the street at night. In any case I don't think an extra battery will help me. I hear that is just for playing music when your car is off. I put in a planet audio bb1400.1 and there was no dimming at all but the bass wasn't so good. ( relitively speaking ) So I want to get something in between. I think that I will be happy with the Hifonics bxi2006d. I do have another question though. Does anyone know if there is much if any difference from the bxi2006d, bxi2008d, bxi2010d? besides the year they were made and looks. Any power output variances etc? And theoretically I should get just as much bass with the bxi2006d as the bxi2608d cause the bxi2608d was lacking current whereas the bxi 2006 won't lack so much so should be more efficient. ( in my mind anyways ) Never the less I am anxious to buy another amp and hopefully the bxi2006d works for me. If not I will be back on forums begging for advice again.

If you could hear the battery bubbling inside you already know what the problem is. Put in a dry cell in the back and one in the front. Use nsb or c&d batteries. You won't blink again.

If you gotta ask " what does it matter where the second battery goes" then you need to rethink your thought process. Closer the battery is to your amp the less power you will lose.

Ok, fill me in on what it means if my battery is bubbling. Is that not just normal for a water filled deep cycle? I can get a kinetic for cheap. What size should I get for a 2000 watt amp? Also should I put an isolater on it?.

i did happen to try adding a second battery (same as my stock one) and it made either very little difference or none at all. but i had it joined via a jumper cable right to the other battery. i will try it later on with it jumped to my cap which is a foot away from my amp.

I had always thought that using a second battery is just for more playing time when the car is off. When the car is on I agree with you it doesn't matter, cause all the juice is coming from the alternator and not the batterys. I do believe though that having the batery closer to the amp is better as you will get less voltage drop.
