We have just started carrying the RE subs and all I can say is wow, I have installed many other brands before but these subs can handle crazy amounts of power and hit very hard. So far from what I have heard they are awesome subs.

are you plannin to take world titles? dont get any of the listed brands, really. get some kicker L7's and u are just as good. unless u REALLY know what u are doin i would not bother with DD, RE or Treo.
Kicker L7's are definitely good SPL subs, I had a single 06' S12L7 for a while recently and I found it to be a very versatile street beating sub, hit lows incredibly well, and it wasnt as sloppy when pushed a bit as I thought it would be.
I hit a 141.2 on an audiocontrol mic @ the dash with poor tuning, only 600 watts rms, and an unfinished dynamat job in the trunk. Not bad for a hackjob install after work with a 12 pack.

I liked it so much I decided to shoe-horn 2 brand new S15L7 dual 2's in my trunk, each powered by KX1200.1's for my next project.
