BIG Street Amps

Anybody play with any of the larger amps out there in a street class (e.g. Atomic 7000.1, AB 700.1, DD Z2 etc. etc.) or hear of any results from others who did? From what I gather, these big guys aren't really suited for 12V, but they must still put out a fair bit of power....

I was thinking it may be more conveniant and easier on the wallet to run one big amp instead of a smaller pair or fleet if the big guns can rock 12 volts.

I wouldn't mind those things... but I don't know if I can wait until 2013 for them to show up in Canada

true, but modz is actually trying to get into canada faster. also trying to stock alot more of the amps and lower series subs. everyone said id have to wait for 6 months since 95g's were back ordered but they were here in like 1.5 months.

my mojo 4kws arent too too bad. Could be a bit more efficient on a limited battery 12 volt system though but they're solid.

strapped at 1 ohm daily no problems aswell

I'm surprised that they both run .5 daily, I've read some horror stories on other forums about the current they eat and their low-voltage tendancies...

Have you benched those memphi? I've wondered what the guts look like on those amps but I've never seen em anywhere... Must be a warranty sticker or something. From what I saw on soundpressure, I'm guessing you'll be selling the 4kws soon?

To get back on topic, basically what I'm wondering is whether or not it'd be worth it to go up to a 7kw amp instead of a 5kw amp in street C with two batteries... if they'll end up doing the same numbers then I guess it'd be a waste of money, but maybe two batts will be enough to give the bigger amp the edge?

havent benched them yet as i dont have a reliable clamp meter at the moment. but with 4 of them in 0.5 strapped pairs it only drops my nsb90s to 10.59 on burp. Then again I might have a mean box rise.

In the end I might just keep these mojos for when I eventually go with a 16 volt setup.
