Also I would like to see people compete with their own gear instead of borrowing each others stuff.
That won't really help anything. In the street classes the loudest Canadian competitors are pretty much all amateurs. (not as in "new" but as in not pro's)

Yuli, ChrisB, Keyur... ect... all pay for their gear out of their own pocket and don't have a shop backing them.
</font>
It doesn't really affect me at all. Last season I competed in street max 1-2 and their really wasn't much competition. I'm just saying that it bothered me to see shops compete at a street level. I'm just trying to help out the new kids so they don't get scared away.

I mean last year you had shop owners in street A and some shop owners taking stuff off their display board to compete. Which I think is pretty gay.

Please don't take offence to what I'm saying, I'm just trying to help make the sport a little more fair for everyone.

its not always true...I competed Street A for majority of the year..and got it handed to me over and over...but ended up eventually winning... all it took was dedication, I didnt have numerous amounts of amplifiers or anything spectacular... most of the year I used a used amplifier... something I didnt even sell in my store

Mind you everyone will have to (re)register, but I think we really need a dedicated section to work on this.
Just like you Chris always trying to yhourself out!

O/T and I dont want to pee on your post.. but I think you have a few misconceptions... An amplifier will not pull more current if voltage is limitied... tightly regulated or not... on the contrary, it will pull less current...

amp fuses are intended to blow when shorted.... they are there to protect the amp against catostrofic failure after you cook outputs, burn a trace.... ect.. A final fail safe after the amps protection circuitry so you cant set your car on fire to boot...

I wont dissagree 100% but do some testing..you will find that an amplifier will draw more current when there is a bad voltage drop... and yes you are correct...that is not the ONLY reason for the fuses on the amplifier...same as if you reverse polarity the amplifier..most have shunt diodes that if connected in reverse will shunt directly to ground and blow the fuse to protect the outputs and rest of the ciruitry

amplifier draws more as the voltage drops always

fuse will not only blow if it's shorted out but also if the amperage being drawn through it is overloading the fuse capacity.
