ok... how about 2 mono, or 2 stereo amps connected to the subs? that lets people bridge 2 stereo amps and treat them like mono amps... and if they have a 2x100 amp, that gives the shp owner who is holding the competition a chance to make a sale.

I'd also suggest that each competitor get at least 2 runs... maybe a qualifying, and then a double elimination tournament for the lower classes? I always hated driving 1/2 hour or more and then getting only one run.

How does "No more than 4 (or 2) channels of amplification per subwoofer" sound?

dont bother with amp quantity as you have set a huge limit just by the number of amperes that it can draw through the fuse... if you do anything I would say no amplimit but total power limited to 1000 or 1200 watts ..even that will be tough on an 80 amp fuse

peter the amp limit needs to be written. you and I know that realisticly there is no need for it with the fuse inplace but ppl will not complain then why someone has more amps then they do and stuff like that if there is a written limit.

also think about it, 4 channels of amplificatin per sub........thats up to 4 amps on one sub, so realistically there is no amp limit, u probably wont be able to run 4 amps off one 80amp fuse anyways.

You are probably good for 200+ amps during a burp less then 10sec. long on a 80 amp fuse....

Edit: IC- prolly more like 160 or something like that for 30sec...

If you got solid batteries that could be enough to produce close to 2KW with a good effecient class D...

are you allowed to run liquid cooling on your 80 amp fuse?
