charging a 16v bank
thanks for the input!!!! murilo, how do i make a homemade charger? im looking into buying a 16v charger anyway but this makes me curious??? maybe show some picks and a step-by-step build process
Bart just find a big transformer with 15V output (7,5 + 7,5, like in my drawing) and strap some bid diodes... after rectification the voltage will be about 20V
If you use a non center tapped transformer you need a full bridge of diodes (4 diodes)
Use high current diodes
put the 16V battery bank in the + and - of drawing
Use a big and old transformer, with a lot of wire around, then you an scary your opponents hehehe.

so, i ordered my new powermaster pn1004 16v charger yesterday!!!!! should be in on the 20th. they say its good for flooded batteries and compatible with agm type aswell....yippie! i can finally charge batts properly
got a 250a alt with adjustable regulator for that!!! just gotta get a bracket made.....and ive done some work on the enclosure too
and ive got 10 fully charged battery's unlike the 6 dead ones from last season lol
should start testing this weekend after the resin dries etc.
