Cspl??
What was it? How did the classes work? Why can't we bring it back?
Its obvious Canadians are sick of getting the raw end of the competition stick... so why can't we just do our own thing? We know that Europe uses cars that most people could never get, so why not just make our own org and go with it? Make something of our own... where we know our money will go back into our scene, with stuff that use to keep the people coming.
Let make some good classes for all, decent prizes, and most of all... ONLY SUPPORT THIS ORG AS CANADIANS!!!
I don't know.... haven't been in the "scene" long compared to many others... but I see where it is going like many others and think there is something we as canadians can do.
Thoughts? Share them...
Lets make something happen... we have some big guys here that CAN make change all across canada...

what you have to do is promote what you have. injecting a new org into the scene that's weak will only split the little number of competitors between the orgs and then you will have more orgs that suck even more.
cspl went away for the same reason everything else is weak - EVERYONE wants a first place without facing any competition

....o.k.... but let me ask you this... why "promote" orgs that don't give a **** about us? I'm talking drop the orgs that don't give 2 ***** and all agree to run one new org and MAKE IT into something "Canadian"???
Is the pull of world ranks really that important? Most classes we can't touch them across the seas so why not go a little smaller (canada) and have our own fun?

bringing a finals across the boarder... even centrally? nothing for your 75+ points investment, or even your $200 finals fee...
There seems to be many negatives... so lets make something where canadians can have fun all by ourselves...

so all you care about is a finals show? really?
you want a central finals to canada which would be twice the distance than a north east USA location? that makes no sense at all. So you would drive to a CSPL finals in Saskatchewan?
for your $200 finals fee you get a superb venue with spectators and all the bells and whistles. you also get to meet world class comopetitors from this side of the continent and see super street and extreme cars in action. None of this CSPL ever provided for their $80 finals fee. You were lucky if you did not get rained on.........
it is a hobby, if you are looking for something in return you are in the wrong field.

This is true... and I do it for the fun... but it is nice to get something from a show no matter how far you drive. Even if its a printed certificate...
man... just throwing it out there... if we all pulled together and decided to put all our eggs in one basket, with proper management, it could turn into something everyone would want to support.
Then again.... maybe not...
p.s. they could have a finals in Detroit, Mich. wouldn't mean if I can't cross the boarder

Probably going to get crapped on for this, but have you looked into tnespl?
For now it's only mostly in northern ny, it will probably be expanding to the south west in the next year since one of our big competitors is moving out that way, and if it did expand, and get interest in Canada, we would make a finals north of the border. Everything you guys are looking for is already offered. All that's missing is the interest.
