Cspl??

tnespl is ok, except the format kinda sucks... IDBL is a good alternative, except people want head to head competition. I personally think it idbl good and if the serious competitors around here were building for their classes, they would enjoy it much more.
On that note, IASCA has only 4 or 5 shows on shedule this season....all in conjunction with XTS car show tour, id like to see everyone support these events. Last season I seen more than 40 spl competitors at each of their shows, and between 200 to 300 show cars.

The league can't change without feedback
Btw, I'm not supporting IASCA. Learn your history, they screwed us worse than dbDrag ever has.

CSPL started out as GBSPL (Grey Bruce Sound Pressure League). The name got changed in '04 when Newmarket joined the 'circuit' and there were plans to try to expand it more. I don't know what happened from there (had to sell the stereo and the car and get a 4 dr due to having kids, an ex who thought it was necessary, and being whipped - never again!).
But I saw it more as just for fun than actual competition. Sometimes not a lot of people would show up, or sometimes 20 or more competitors (plus spectators). But they were just average guys and girls. Simple catagories, based on sub size and number of subs. For example, dual 12"s ran against single 15"s (that's the only catagory I remember, because it was the only one I ran). But the people who showed up were just from the small shops that put on the shows, and most of them didn't have anything spectacular, and were just there for the sake of seeing what they'd hit, meeting new people, and learning from each other (sometimes like the blind leading the blind, but still good times). Basically for $5-10, you got 2 runs and an evening of entertainment. Top 3 of each catagory got a certificate with their name, place and score, with end of year overall points prizes & trophies.
I went to a couple of dBDrag events and they were alright, but I didn't really care as much about them in comparison. Probably mostly because a lot of the people that I met I'd never see or talk to again, but then again, you only get out of something what you put in. I put a lot into CSPL, and nothing, other than showing up and handing over my entrance fee, into dBDrag.
