How big is the wire from your alternator to the batt?

Run at least 4 awg (or bigger) , and a 4awg ground from the block to the batt, at the very least this will charge the batt faster. I dont think the alternator is doing much in your car however as per my last post, if you had a bigger alt it would be better.

ps why do you care anyways?

Peeps seem to think youre a newbie lol, The situation however doesent make sense, like how much spl are you losing?
Anyways my guess would be the ecu and coil, fuel injectors, etc etc, the essentials that make a car run are robbing precious voltage from amps lol.

and i think you might be right.

i had something similar in my jeep, but in the jeep the score did not change with car on or off. In this car it actually goes down.

Funny the way different autos deal with systems, in my z34 if i was idling and cranked the system the amp would suck every last drop of voltage and the car would stall lol. But it was a kicker 1200.1 and they are some power suckin****in amps @ 1 ohm.

I'm interested to know what's happend because I have a similar problem. If I do my first run without recharge my battery with a charger, I always do 0.4 db better than the second run when I have the time to recharge my battery.

Maybe if the amps saw 14.4 volts, try to push more watts and the voltage drop quickly at 11 volts, the amps are less stable then when it start at 12.7 volts and the score is less.
