Check all you elec. System- Coils, Distributor, even drain into a starter solonoid might cause somethng. I Know you know what u are doing when it comes to installing audio, but it does not mean that the company that made the alt knew what they were doing - Get it benchmarked, could be a diode/Stator problem.

I know u said The DRLights were off but do u have HID's, Could it be a blown Ballast? something stupid like that?

ok this may be far fetched but yuli try this, when you're "burping" with the car off open the door. check the amp draw. the loss of pressure letting the sub's move more freely and uncontrolled would make the amp draw more maybe? so what i'm thinking is with the car off all the outside vents are closed, when you start the car the vacuum motor is opening the vent door in the heater box letting out pressure when the car is running. i hope it's that easy.

someone here hasn't done the big 3 themselves

Chris I gave up since it really did not matter. I like it with the car off anyways, keeps the environment clean.

its pretty simple...my vehicle does the same thing. your exhaust is resonating your cabin on its own before the system is. So you're getting cancellation.

If dbdrag allowed burping with the vehicle on, you'd gain from deadening in different places that the exhaust pre-resonates

it's because the alternator in a crx doesn't put out power unless there is a load on it. This is why yulis is less loud with the car on and why my crx lost 0.5db between the pits and the lanes at finals. You need to turn the lights on in order to get a load so it charges
