Been quite a few issues with reliability on the PG Ti subs. Mostly due to tinsel lead breakage. Apparently the latest ones (like the ones that are now all over Ebay for really cheap if you really want them hint hint) have this reliability issue cured.

Lot's of good 1000rms amps out there.
I would look at to start;
Memphis M1000D
Crossfire 1000D
Zapco AG1000
Fosgate BD1000 (or whatever they call it now)
Orion 1200D

Most can be found used for excellent prices also if you're on a budget.
Pick subs with ~500rms rating to match your needs. Resonant Engineering SE12's would be an excellent choice.

Try Audiowaves and GT Audio in Oshawa and Whitby HiFi in Whitby. Those would be my choices.

I buy most of my audio online but have dealt with these shops. PM me with any questions.

Great place to go. I've become a HUGE fan of the Kicker CompVR 12's. You could throw an easy 1000WRMS to a pair and be MORE than happy as they would still sound nice,tight and controlled....and really f***ing loud. Those or the Type R 12's are loud too, I don't like em as much as the CompVR though.
