hz question
hey prolifik!
well cabin gain IS different from vehicle to vehicle, i never said that it wasn't i don't recall making that a part of my argument. i just said that, that seems to be the area (60hz) that the majority of vehicles seem to prefer. not that that is an absolute!
wave devolopment is obviously a bigger part of the equation in vehicles without walls cause the wave travels farther and has more time to create it's full amplitude!
this in many cases will change what frequency u want to use. so in your case instead of using 60 or 32hz wich is the two peeks you found that u had in your vehicle, because of the distance that the wave has to travel to the point on your windshield is better at 52hz.
that however is only because you can't choose were to put your box in the vehicle! that 60hz i am willing to bet would be louder than your 52 if you were able to move your box in closer to the windsheild.
yes i know that proves part of your point but i have never spoken at any point in absolutes! that seems to be the direction that u like to head in. this is how i build my systems using these thories and i do very well! i am shure that u do as well. but to say that some thing like physics dosen't work; lets get serious.
the universe would sease to exist if you are telling me that things of this kind of logic DO NOT APPLY to YOUR universe!
you also said that u had two identical vehicles so stuff like power windows or the quality of the cars weather striping or potential holes in the fire wall and the humidity of the day or the temperature were all the same is what u are telling me! nice try! u just said it your self you got two totaly different #s in a SIMILAR vehicle.

yes power windows really matter.........
it was same model vehicle, i got them both brand new so i would assume stripping was same, i put holes in the fire wall in exact same spots. i dont know what humidity of the vehicle has to do with anything since i owned both for over 2 years and i have tested more than once in each........

Hello, sorry I'm not SIMPLE and please don't bring me into your little debate! The question asked was pretty broad I'm sorry for that, but I am just learning about this stuff, and any answer sombody wants to give me I will read and be thankful that people are kind enough to answer my simple questions.
Thanks Steve
