lmao

I didnt get that either lol

it would be correct that the 1- 18" is the better way to go, but... 4-12's would be even better

Seeing as he runs all MTX gear I guess hes using those calculations on their website which mean nothing.

i had the kicker L7 12's last year. and they hold a low end really well.
they sounded great in sealed boxes.

thanks everyone for the feedback :)

have been and still am VERY SICK so nothing is happening with the purchases. i see there is a general aggreement as to the one 18" over the 2 12's,makes sense to me too.and yes i think i am gonna go sealed too, mostly so there is a general smooth response.....its gonna be sweet. ill get some pics up in the next little while as to what i got done allready, plus what is going in next!!!
thanks again all, tony b

i have owned over 15 kicker square subs in the past and i would definatly run the solo x 18 instead of L7's as the lows are rediculas and can make you barf HHAHA
good luck

Yes, it's only a calculation of how much air a woofer can displace, so a higher amount of air being moved has nothing to do with how loud it is?
nice.

The other question is, do you have enough air space as what else will really affect this is the enclosure design.

(I know that there will be discussions about this and that some will say there is no difference in output depending on box size or ported vs. sealed). :-)
