Loud Trunks
Was there any mention of deadening on the box or stopping roof flex? >.<
If you want to get loud than use concrete and up your class.
Garvok is right. You can't just say "2 dB" or "this = that" because it doesn't work like that.
A port stretching to the dash wouldn't work, it'd be too long, too much port area.
Cheating? Is it written down that you can't do that? Wouldn't it make it louder around the listening position?
Can't you use materials that will guide a wave well, even if you can't use a full wave-guide? How about rounding over hard edges, like a console box? How about doing something to the back of the front seats? Holes in the seats even?
How does a wave react in a vacuum? You COULD pump air out of the cabin, less air to more the louder, right? Well, sound doesn't travel in a vacuum, so?
Your best bet is making the car the box.
BTW 3 10's over 1 15? 3 10's will most likely be louder, better power .

but i heard you CAN decrease the internal volume of a 4 door car by FARTING at the same time you BURP ur system, something about the sine waves in zero oxygen bassed system, kreates negative DASH oreientated waves KNOWN to be in excess of 168 DBzzzzz
bahahahahahahah
bahahahahahahah
You forgot solid carbon dioxide molecule vapors that when pointed to the front of the car and combined with super heated oxygen molecules that's pointed towards the back of the car it creates a push-pull in a sine wave in each trough so it allows it to move faster because hot things get out of the way faster therefore a direct transfer from box to dash happends much like an interstellar travel push-pull where the space in front is shrunk and the space behind is maximified, proven because the only thing getting in the way of a sound wave is oxygen itself. Don't get me started on glass resonation frequency cancellation.
yes that 168 was done from the port on my enclosure. Not on the dashboard as I stated.
i've been doing this 20+ years guys. Each vehicle is different and getting heads up from other competitors isn't against any rules. Neither is being friendly or helpful. If you don't wish to contribute fine but I personally don't mind giving helpful advice.
that 168 was done with 2300 watts with 2 12's thru a single 6 inch aero flared port. In a format we have locally called Bass Blast aka Port Wars.

Why give advice when it could cost you exactly what you don't want others to have? Why even compete at that point or would you rather have exactly the same setup as another and win or lose by vehicle/cabin variations that you can't change?
