For coating your frame etc.. try getting some POR15 ...
Haven't used it in years but it one awards years back and it still around today.
POR stands for " paint over rust" lol .. maybe they even have colors other than black now

Here's the site

You can not go wrong with this stuff, it can withstand hammer hits after curing!! No chipping..
No BS.
Nothing better for surface rusted frames.

You got alot of room to play with Paul thats a good thing for sure. I can't wait to see the finished box. Are you building a straight wall?

My rockers on my plymouth breeze looked even worse than that. I thought it was gonna be a horrible fix, but i did a whole lotta grinding and once i got all the rust off completely i just fiberglassed it. It was my first time working with fiberglass and no one was even able to tell i had rust there to begin with, much less the giant hole i had all the way down the side of my car. hehe
Now if only the rest of the car had lasted, i might even still be driving it. Front end was totally messed up on it and woulda cost me more to fix than i bought my Tercel for. lol

Those Grand Marquis are freakin tanks! Good car to work with. I build police interceptors (Crown Victoria so its the same car really) and not a day goes by that i dont daydream about putting a system in one.

lol, it's all trial and error. Not letting out all the secrets but most of the "shell" will be reusable. The front and sub baffle can be changed easily. I've been working on this for awhile. I think it's got some potential.

lol, trust me Yuli, I've taken plenty of measurements to ensure this fits, with a little room to spare. The "shell" will actually become part of the car and the rest built into it in sections.

It pretty much takes up everything from the B's back to the rear seat/deck. I'll post pics once my "shell" is complete. Just need to locate the proper materials.
