That would be great! I can send you one in a week or so, where should I send it? I am very interested in having as much data as possible in more detail than the current testing reveals -- as you have stated, the current data has it's limits, although, it can still be compared to data acquired by the same method (which most end-user acquired data is gathered in this manner).

The comparative nature has been proven in a few swap-outs -- a pair of 1500Ds tested higher than a Memphis 4kw in the truck used for high voltage testing, when the swap was made an SPL gain was achieved equal to what one would expect for the respective power increase.

Do you have data on other amps gathered in the same manner to compare this data to? I would also be very interested in using your data to improve future revisions if the data reveals anything unsatisfactory.

That is pretty senseless guys... the numbers were tested under given conditions. You can even repeat them if you wanted to, the same numbers have been measured under the same conditions several times. As Haunz pointed out the standard "clamp" method is not completely accurate but can be compared to other results gathered in the same manner -- which is the same manner that most enthusiasts without incredibly expensive equipment measure amp output.

I am sending an amp to Haunz when I get information on where to send it to. Seriously don't see the reason for the hate...

As for more numbers... Robert Eldrige broke 160 dB Outlaw at a USACI show last night with 4 of the 1500Ds. His vehicle is not set up for such a reading but I believe the highest currently in that class is about 162 - 163 dB, so it is a good showing none-the-less.

 

I don't see a point in even discussing anything with you if you have your head set like that. But how about the following...

His truck also does over 158 dB at the headrest in MECA. If you would do some research you will find quite a few other good readings including my brother, who is leading overall nSPL no-wall 0-24 at 147.9 dB using 2x 1500Ds and 2x SI Mag D2 12s -- he has won the most shows in that class this season and has the highest score, barring the world record from a dB Drag guy that entered for giggles at one show, for the season.

One of my regular customers is doing over 153dB with 4x 1500Ds on 2x DD 9515s in a Tahoe. I don't recall his class designation but it was a very good showing in his class at an nSPL event this season.

Quite a few other guys in the 150s as well.

 

I don't have alot of dB Drag guys the moment, nor am I extremely familiar with all of their rules -- so we are spearking two different languages I suppose

* The 1500D is not pictured, but that is Steven Willis' car from my Team, he did 145 dB with a 9510 on the 1500D. Third of the day at that show of 26 cars.

On April 23rd in Ohio Jason Robaszkiewicz took 4 first places at one event with 4x SAZ-1500Ds and 4x DD 9515s (no wall):

Ss 3-4 150.5db 1st
Bassrace 148.9 db 1st place
Usaci mod 2000+ 151.3db 1st place
Usaci street beat 149.9db 1st place

That is one dB drag score for you at least Most of the guys that I know of competing with Sundown amps do USACI, MECA, and nSPL. I'm sure there are more dB Drag that I don't know of, I'll post up if I find some more scores.

 

Im the soundroun rep in my area and i can do 150s with one amp and half a sub that is just how good these amps are.
