This is my own personal opinion, So I hope I don't offend anyone...

I honestly don't know why people spend money on trying to get something to sound as loud as possible.

Something so loud that you can't even use your ears to listen to it because it will blow your head up.

I mean people use a remote outside there car to see a number on a screen...

I believe speakers are for listening to for pure sound quality and relaxing enjoyment, And not trying to see some numbers on a screen.

Sounds like a guy on the beginning of an engineering course, lots of new words you learn.

Yes, and motors are meant to push your car and get you to places (up to the speed limit), but people like that "little" extra.

Would be awesome to an engineering standpoint if all people were equal, used the same 20HP electric car and lived on the same 200sq.ft apartment and used the same clothes.

Yea but you could use a tricked out car as a daily driver. Could you listen to a full out dbDrag vehicle everyday?

full out? can you daily drive a top fuel dragster?

This is a hobby and as you can compete some people get serious about it.

set up a race without a specific distance and tell me who wins.
the termlab is what defines spl as objective, without a unit of measurement there can be no unquestionable "loudest", only opinions which would make the sport subjective and therefore irrelevant.
