I didn't say it was impossible. Chris, you of all people should know that I believe I can get the Neon into the 50's. But its not going to be easy. Absolutely ANY box I have made for the neon gains around 2dB just by dropping it in the Sunfire.

If anyone has any ideas on getting one of these cars loud please share. I have tried over 10 boxes this summer (would have tried many more if time allowed).
i didn't know that we were still talkin about 1000$ of equip... well... then that would be mighty mighty hard to do.. be cool to see though!

Mike has been running his equipments with different set ups for a long time now , im pretty sure 1 of his amp are near $1000 range

James did u want to spend $1000CDN or USD ??

well Mike is in street B and James wants street A

best bet i think would be Kicker L7 's and Directed Viper 2500.1 or Kicker 1200.1 should be able to grab amp and subs for $1000CDN

Neon in SPL =

The best I have seen out of a 2000+ is a 48 flat.
I 3rd that ...MTA neon is proof... 2 10's with 2 MMATS d300hc's (about 3200 watts RMS toatal) is now hitting over 150dB on termlab...all it takes is work and patience...with more power we can get even more out of it..also found out the battery had a bad cell in it..so that will help a bit

I want readily available gear...
well in the signature it does say NEON

I have found like Chris B said earlier...not all designs work the same in neons...chris looses SPL by sealing around the box in his Cavalier...in a neon i did the same and gained a full DB

DD or RE. I would not use anything else unless circumstances convinced me too.

I think that the whole problem with Neons comes from the shape of the inside of the trunk causing alot of turbulence and such. if you change that I think that you can get the Neon much louder due to other things about the shape of the trunk that are beneficial...

My thoughts are as such...

Amp:EarthQuake,Memphis,RipRock...

SubsD,RE,Shocker,

From there...add in line drivers, etc as you so feel...

Just remeber, most of this stuff is gear that I would run given the money, based upon what fellow competitors have said...
