tips on best spl car

ok so, i have been saving up for a while and now im ready to start my first big project. im making a spl competition car.
i want to go pretty much all out and do everything i can for the best results.

heres a list of things im buying:
2 kinetik khc 1400 batterys
1/0 power ground wire
200 amp alternator
"big three"
full car sound deadneing
helix stinger rca's
its all going in a s-10 truck or a honda civic

i would like any input or tips on what else i can do to make the best possible spl car.

the class im going in is 2 10's or one 12

You seem to have the basics down, but if your going for spl only, both those vehicles listed don't give you to much room to play with, when it comes to different boxes, and styles.

with 10's or one 12" i'd recommed...
-a crx or panda(if you can get one)
-one big battery instead of 2
-dont really need an atl, just a good charger
-lots of 1/0 guage
-dont deaden until you test to see a gain

^ this post is smart, do what must be done (get power to the amp) dont buy anything till you know what makes you loud! Astrovans are loud too. The meter is essential for finding what works and what doesn't. I like 15" drivers they seem to hit the mark for SPL but there are plenty of loud 12's... 18's will be a challenge

The cost of SPL is often in the constant rebuild (try another box, and another). Don't be afraid to buy what matters and spend $ and skrimp on things that dont matter.

First thing first- what ORG do you want to compete in? Second- what class? that will determine a lot of things like woofer size and amp power and how tall the box will be etc. third- resign yourself to a sub that doesn't sound good (usually not always)

I think the most important is the car, and then from there, i suggest to begin with some thing simple,a pair of 12, and 1 amp...SPL, is much of try, and try, and try...the after you have leran some then past to the next level. I thing the meter is very important too.
