i think it's abit too much power for those speakers to handle for music

can a crx hit a 160? it probably can. a better question is what class would it fall under (as in how much equipment would it take) im sure if u wall a crx you can hit a 160

dave, the other things that we were changing are the ones that give you competative advantage lol.........really tho it was port lenght and some variations of the vehicle itself.

Still a excellent score, and always fun to see the work that has gone into it. Must have had the other team sweating in the final round.

I'm a little surprised you went separate chamber, but the numbers do speak for themselves.

Looks good and loud, just about had him...

What did note end up being? Did note change in Ohio? Voltage drop on burp?

Dave separate chamber is always louder, hence why we always put deviders in boxes that have odd number of ports.

thanks Dale. note was 54hz, was same in Ohio. voltage drop was 9.7-9.9, two SD16kd's at 0.5 ohm. I let Jeff Brown/Alfaro (guys that did the 158.9) clamp the car, it produced 12k.

Those SD16k's are a beast of an amp, never have to worry about hooking them up low and clipping or protecting. we ran ours at 0.5 and 1 ohm durring the seasons with hoooooooooooobs of power and zero hick ups.

Jeff and Alfaro said they got 11.5k out of their three DD M4A's amps. We only had 2 amps. Gains on our amps were at zero, all the way down. you just hook these things up and power comes outs.

This score is really impressive considering the time spent on that box. The box is a bit too big which means there is still a lot left in it. The box was also pointing down which probably wouldnt help. Next season should be interesting. I wish I could of put up my number in the lanes.

While I have nothing to add to the discussion in regards to SPL.. but..

Dear god, is that what I think it is? Properly countersunk screws? I think I might wet myself...

I was beginning to think nobody knew what a countersink was anymore.
