I believe there should be caps, let me explain:
A customer has 2 - 12s in a prefab box and a 500 watt amp. He wants to compete in db drags. He enters the comp, hits a 135.7 db. Which is pretty good, now he gets to the first round and goes against a guy with to RF 3000.1 strapped together with (some big sub). Well we already know whose louder. And the kid with the 2 -12s goes home feeling like a piece of ****. Now he is turned off of competing, and goes and buys rims with his next cheque. I think the street classes should be for bigginners (one year or less) or cap the power. USACi still uses power, and has rating for cheater amps. With simular classes to db drag, but it offers a "basic" class that a competitor can only compete for on year. The class are the same.

All of your points are excellent: However, you would not believe the crying when I tried to enforce the spirit of "ministreet" the two years previous to this one.
SOOOOO many people lied about being "first year" competitors (one guy was an installer at a shop!) -- not to mention the people who were "first timers" but for whatever reason did not fit into a class.
There has been less crying this year; however, there still is much room for improvement. I agree that it would be nice to have a class "for the little guys", so they don't have their doors blown off. The problem is setting it up so that we can avoid the cheaters and liers.

^^^^ i don't think either way it will work. there will be way to many rules/regualtions, and who will always enforce it all! kinda hard to do! i think db dragracing is a lot of politics and stuff now to. basicly if oyu want to be compeitiive you have to have the itme, money, and effort for it!
I'm all for what yuli is talking about, but really there is not much we can do as only compeititors. it's hatrd to change anything like rules unless you have a lot of poeple saying yes, and there will always be people saying different, and contradiction. it's a hard thing to do.... either way you will never satisfy everyone, and either way people will still bend and break the rules!

i like that battery limit
you can only pull so many watts out of a single battery
and if you qualify for world finals, you shoud have to compeat in a higher class, say street to super street. therefor keeping the big guys outta the entry level classes.
an idea i have been playing around with, set amp/sub/battery combo. so every one has the exact same gear.
