Going to ask a noobie question here, what is on the discs? Certain music / tones that you get judged by? Just curious since im slowly finishing up my truck and im thinking of hitting a comp if one comes by my way...

Lots of good stuff. There are technical tracks with specific things the liner notes tell you to listen for. These can be parts of a song or just things like snare drum shots moving from left to right. There is pink noise for RTA, zero noise for testing noise floor, test tones, sine sweeps, SPL tracks plus in between there is a short explanation track saying what the next track is for (staging, SPL, imaging, etc). That coupled with the liner notes complete with pictures showing where instruments were on the stage when the track was recorded make for a very useful tool for setting up a system.

Compared to the USAC disc I have with about 10 songs on it, the IASCA is far more useful I find in using it as a tuning too. The USAC one had no liner notes or explanatory material with it at all. Maybe it wasn't the judging disc, I don't know. I only paid $10 for it but the songs on it are good to listen to even if just to show off how good your system sounds.
