10" sub

Hi, I'm looking for 2x 10" sub, I was looking for some Infinity kappa perfect 10dvq but I was wondering if there is something better than these for the same price, I buying on ebay, so they are 150 each... I'm looking into great sub with tight respond and that have power too(I will powered them with an old school amp of 300 rms). I've look also to Treo TSX 10.44 and some other brand like RE, phoenix gold, CDT...? Thank you!

What kind of music are you going to listen to? How much space can you give up in your ride? Is your old school amp a two channel, less than 2 ohms stable in a bridged configuration?

High end Phoenix Gold subs are now on crazy sale on Woofersetc dot com. Perfects are amazing. Also check out Sundown subs, cause they are on half price sale now(SD-1 I think). They are on blowout sale on SSA forum.

Also, you may want to look up Exodus Audio, and Creative Sound Solutions. I have three 10s by CSS, and love them. Their low end extention is incredible!!!

My friend has three 10s by CDT, and they are super tight and clean, and they pound in his Hummer. User Ross has the best prices on CDT and he is local.

I am not sure what that amp is, but seems like a small one. Maybe time to upgrade ?

With prices on CDT, talk to Ross directly. You can find him under username Ross on here, and send him a PM.

You need a much bigger amp to run one of those Phoenix Gold subs, or two of any kind. Any of the subs I suggested are excellent for the money. You only have to decide how much you wanna spend. If I were you, I would get two subs, and any of the choices are excellent. Seems like Exodus and Sundown are your cheapest choices, and you will not be disappointed with either. CDT's are incredibly clean and tight, but CDT is not a cheap brand name, and I believe the lower models have been discontinued, and for 2008 only the high end stuff is being manufactured. I use 3 tens by CSS myself, and love them to death. Two tens is borderline output for me, but sometimes I like to blare it, so I need more for that reason. Like I said all these choices are excellent, and you will be happy with any two tens you choose. If you are on tight budget, it seems Sundowns cannot be beat on a sale thay are on now.

I don't really have a tight budget, is only that I'm begging in car audio, so I'm a bit afraid to be honest to spend like 1 000$ into something that I haven't heard of. Well my amp is kind of old but I think it's still a good one, it's a class A/B so it's why it don't push so much power but I get clean sound. Right now I already have 2 sub, 2 nakamichi 10" into a nice sealed enclose I made specialy for them, it's clean and precise but I realise that I love bass more than I think.

If you think that my amp ain't good what do you suggest me ??

Well, you gotta figure out which two subs you want, so you know which impedance you wioll run them at, and based on that choose an amp. If you are planning to use the same box, then you may wanna check out your new sub choices recommended enclosure sizes for best possible performance. Maybe you box is too small, thats why your bass is not as loud as you want it, so a bigger amp would help with loudness. Also, a single 15" sub will be louder than 2 tens. In terms of amps, there are literally dosens of choices. I always suggest quality brand name equipment. If you want great amp, I believe Ebay has deals on DLS right now. If you buy something like that, you'd be doing yourself a favour, cause you may not have to upgrade again, as DLS is amazing stuff. JL Slash Series, Arc Audio XXK are amazing too, and I believe there are deals to be had on all of them.

If you feel you're lacking bass, I would get a bigger amp for sure, and also take another look at your current enclosure.

well, I made my enclosure based on few hi-fi books and with some software like AJ something and other one that I don't remember. But if I order new subs it doens't matter to me to build another box for them.

I would like to stay with 2x 10. I was woundering if Soundstream was a good choice of brand for amp, and if you have feedback about them. Old one and new one.
