I've got a 12" infinity kappa perfect 12.d sub that I'm gonna put in a sealed obcon box and run 500watts at 2ohms to it. It's a nice box and a buddy of mine says that he's heard a perfect in it and it will sound great. The only problem I might have is that the internal space in the box is .88cf and the specs for the sub ask for a 1cf box. Should I put some polyfill in to make the sub think it's in a 1cf box or just buy a 1.25cf box?

I want the sub to play low and deep, but if a 1.25cf box is gonna fug up the response, musicality and sound of the sub then no way. Unfortunately it seems that my local shop only has a few crap 1cf boxes and all the good ones are .88cf or 1.25cf.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You are not that far off from one cube as it is.Anything less than .15 will not be noticeable to even the seasoned audiophile. If you are worried adding some polyfill will help.

Thanks bro.

I'll get the good .88cf box and if I'm not quite satisfied I'll add some fill.
