Nice choice of speaker wire. At least it'll be color coded.

There really hasn't been much going on, still got to order the speakers once I pick those up I will start again. I am taking the time now to learn the DSP on my new Head unit. One thing I did wrong so far, is that I didn't use tech-flex on my wires inside the car. Im thinking about ripping apart again and adding it to each wire.

Okay guys, Finally got some decent weather, and more importantly morning shifts at work, now atleast I got more time to work on my car.

I started the next big step in the build, which is the custom spare tire enclouser. The subs going into the box will be the 2 10inch P1 RF's that I have, the inside displacement of the box is roughly 1.94cubic feet, after all the foam, coating, n bracing...It should be much lower number, its going to be a sealed enclouser. Im not fully done the bo but the main frame of it is done, all I got to do is secure it to the spare tire well, glue it, silicone it, foam it, and seal it to make it one piece with the spare tire well. Then put a top on it, but still figuring out if I want to make the subs flat or put it on an angle.

Here are some progress pics.......All feedback is greatly appricated.

Sorry about the date, my camrea always resets it. and I always forget to put it back to normal.

Enjoy

Looks good so far, are you going to seal the structure to the wheel well or are you making a fiberglass bottom for it? This way it can be removed.

Looking forward to more progress

Thanks,

My plan was to attach the box to the spare tire well, silicone it sealed spray foam it, once all dries I was going to give it a coat of Rockerguard from the wood down to the spare tire well to make it one piece, and hopefully it wont leak.

^ For all that work, why not just do it right? For about the same cost in materials ($60 maybe) you could glass it. Then it's removeable and you can even sell it when you get rid of the car, recovering your materials cost.

Thats the way I planned on doing it from the start, but was told It was really not nesscary to do, since it will take a long time to do etc.... Materials cost me about $30, I do have all the fiberglass cloth etc to do it the other way, But I decided to do it this way since it was possible, and people have done it with great results.

Got the rest of my gear, will post pics soon
