John,

This build I focused on speaker placement, cabinet construction, systematic wiring methods, High-fidelity audio connections and my biggest leap was use of space. Last year was a great install, had average wiring methods. The panels Jason and I created suited the car but it's functionality was a problem. Getting to the spare tire required much more effort and the weight was 50lbs more with equipment.

I hopefully will be updating the build to accommodate CAT5 audio connectors to the amps, different Sub, more protection on the L8 grills, and hide the FUGLY sub wire.

Hey Julian,

I enjoyed watching (reading) your build and congrats to both you and John. My question to you is what do you mean by systematic wiring methods and average wiring methods?

Better wiring?

You know if such a thing existed when they were capturing your mental image for printing.... that's when you would remember waking up next to a nude wildebeest you met in a bar when you were blacked out

Dude spent ~13hrs in my garage, just wiring he's deck and running his custom RCA's.
Snapping pics and the attention to detail was beyond crazy.
I understand why, and the resluts paid off.
But damn that's just a lot of time for a little bit of work.

most of the effort from my experience is to meet the picky nature of the sanctioning body and doesnt really result in better sound but in a better build. IASCA has always pushed the 'pretty' build... and the magazine s on their competitors shows this off

Average means that I just put it in to make it work and have it semi fire safe.

Systematic means that I planned every wire down to the last termination and secure point. The way I installed all the 12vDC, RCA, and Speaker wiring is the most logical and noise free way to go.

Come to an Eastern IASCA show this summer and I'll explain in person.
