DAMN, thats like 1/3 of my weight...... unno if thats good for me, since its basically like having another passenger in the car all the time, plus my cars lowered.. plus if i do go with a regular ported sub box, thats too much weight.

Are they lowered than the BTL?

The lowering springs should be stiffer than the stock springs, but if you're worried about the car bottoming out....install some airbags. .

if your worried about the weight of the sub you can go with a lvl 4. They are closer to 35 lbs each and perform very well.

Its not really practical for me, there are a few reasons, the value of my bimmer is decrease, there is a ton of welding and modifications that needs to be done, my 245/40/18 tires wont fit in the rear, I use it daily too and even my stiff set-up doesnt help :P i belive each spring is 990 or 980 lbs and Air bag is good, offers real good smooth ride, but its not as durable and reliable as regular suspensions.

define better? What does the BTL do better? I say this since you haven't heard it, you have only read about it. I am thinking since you are posting in the SQ thread that the subjective (non-measured) sound is important. I have never heard anyone say the BTL is a good sounding sub (do not imply I am saying whether it sounds good or bad, BUT I am saying it is an effort at state of the art bass output NOT a SQ line which would be the Fi Q series)

I would imagine you are actually looking for a practical sub that sounds great and slams W6, FiQ, ID Max, JBL GTi, Kicker CVX (or even the inexpensive CVR). I would say have fun but try not to over think this, just be true to what you really want.

I want something that has base at low volume so that it will work parrallel with my mid range n tweeter. But at high volumes, i want it to just wake up the girl next door:P
