Anyone heard of these subs for SQ only?
FOR *SQ* ONLY
Focal 27KX
Focal 27WX

Do they work best in a sealed or ported enclosure or IB?

Not sure what the specs are on them so I couldn't tell you what box to put them in...They sounded awesome in a sealed box though.

HOLY budget busters!

They are very good subs, but you pay for that. Build quality is superb, and the design is cutting edge.

I have 4 Focal subs in my car, and I'm always wearing a smile when I hear/feel them.

2 thumbs up for the F-Brand.

The new Focal PowerK KX subs as the advertising says give you the Spirit of Music with a Kick. Sealed or ported depending on your tastes and I have the box volumes and ports when you need them. If you feed these puppies properly, you will have your cake and eat it as well.
The Utopia's are more of an SQ sub. The box should be built with no holds barred for this sub. Bracing and a little Cascade Black Hole are a must to fully enjoy.

Focal drivers should be on any SQ 'short list' if you have the $$ and the desire to part with it

I run a couple 27K's and I can say they are the best subs I've ever used. Have to be put in a properly constructed box though.
