And just to keep on topic, the re8 is a beauty little driver. It's not a monster for sure but has it's applications.
I have a single ported re8 in my gf old accord, it works very well.

For SPL kicker 8 L7 Very loud sub, very deep bass,
for sound Quality I would choose JL W7 8. Found it very clear. Both subs are very good but remember its what sub(S) you like and want. Just my personal 2 cents
