Which hybrid tweeter did you have? Alot of people prefer the sound of the L1V2 over the L1pro and then there is the SE. What are your tweeters crossed over at ? That can play a pretty big factor in what the mid sounds like.

The Piccolo's are starting at 2.5Khz. Our Dutch champion has choosen this frequency.

The Hybrid's I had in the car were the L1-Pro.
So I think because of the different sound character the L1-Pro says nothing
about the sound of the L6 ! ?

Can there be so much detail, that there is no more musicality ?

detail... is often associated with an exaggerated freq band... exaggerated detail is a common complaint with tweeter dominant systems or an edgy (odd harmonic) tweeter or even a POOR crossover point ... detail is something in life that is just there, it is what defines different brands of cymbals, sound of different brands of guitar/banjo/violin strings, the way mass voices sound like 20 individual voices... you find detail it shouldn't find you

Focal and MB Quart are often accused of being in this situation which is somewhat true (but I think it is more about poor system design many times)

the hybrid products are great drivers but they have their limitations as do all drivers, they don't have a lot of resonance issues so they don't ADD a lot of sound to the amplified signal. Overall they are midrange centric (not tweeter of bass centered)

In the mean time I checked some prices and wow the Morel SW6 is twice the
price as the Dynaudio and the Hybrid.
Any idee why?
Is he so much better or only different sounding?

I had a few MB Quart speakers in my car and heard even more.
We call them German sounding with much ss and tt.

In general I like more the English sound.
Home hifi speakers may sound like electrostatic and magnetostatic ones.
Hybrids like Martin Logan are also favourite.
Further Von Schweikert and Avalon. These brands in home I cannot afford.
Even because of the expensive amps they need.

As I wrote before I am going to try the Hybrid soon.
If I am not satisfied I want to buy the Dynaudio 650. I read this one beats the 160 and 162!?
The Morel is to expensive and I haven't it is world's best.

Of course I have to hear them and decide myself.
My Microprecision MP5.16 are known as bass-monsters but not that good in mid tones!? Although that some people say it will be hard to find a better midbass.

I trust my ears because I hear differences between amps and even cables blind. Maybe due to my profession. I don't want to sound arrogante buy the way.

Well I am not trying to sell Hybrid, and I cant say bad things about the morel product... each of those 3 the Hybrid, the Dynaudio and Morel have a "sound" to them I tend to mix driver brands and home drivers in auto set ups to go to a more neutral sound.

The top Pioneer products are quite good as well (very $$$)

nothing wrong with peerless and scanspeak BTW... I have used and still have on hand a NHT tweeter I love for automotive use (too big though)

Take a listen to focal as well. They are very musical, but they do need to be set up properly.
