Why does Xtant never get mentioned in these types of threads anymore. Not all that long ago they were THE amp to have. What happened?

Has it been around too long so it's not 'cutting edge' anymore?

Is it too easy to get now?

Did it get cheaper to buy?

Did Mitek buying them and not changing anything somehow make them "not as good as they used to be"?

As we all know, the more money and harder to find something is the better it must be right?

Adam - I like Coustic. They make a fine amp. And what copy and paste? My rant is merely well rehearsed

I liked my Linear Power amps except for two things: they whined, and when I replaced a 5002IQ and 3002IQ with a Punch 60 and Punch 40 somehow it was way louder (and the whine was gone too) [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

 

jaretz28, there are many great hi-end amps, if you are asking what is near and dear to my heart, the avi abh1002 is my favorite until something better comes along. other great amps that arent frighteningly exspensive that i have used and like would be, zapco, i use 2 zapco amps(z50s2, and a z100mvx) with 3 avi amps in my own car, the alpine mrvf540 4 channel is a personal favotite, linear power amps if you can find them, 1502iq,952iq, 2202iq, have used a few audison amps and wasnt displeased or blown away but liked them nonetheless, i was always a huge fan of the old mtx2300, amazing all around amp, gobs of amazing power, i dunno that amp was always a mtx anomally in my eyes, there are a few favs but there are many other great amps out there
