IIRC i have about a 4" depth. 5" if i fab a trim ring. Moar if i need it by mounting the aftermarket grill on the door panel.

You are correct with the link to the Eclipse speakers. This is a one time deal on these speakers, get them while you can. They do indeed sound amazing and are well within your price range right now. This is also purchased in Canada with full warranty as well.

 

Is it even worth going for a 3 way set up? I figure a 3 way is in there now so i have the room. Would a set of two ways be just as good?

 

Nothing wrong with going either way. For the deal that the 3way components are, get them while you can.

 

Rainbows are very nice.
