hmm, I seem to recal reading that he was looking to upgrade his comp set, I simply made a suggestion, I never said anything negative about Canton or any other brand name, I simply stated what I know. I know Focal and Audison well enough compared to many other brands, that I can make statements like I do, and I never carve my posts in stone, it's simply my oppinion, which last time I checked I was entitled to.

If you have a problem with my oppinions, then pm me or keep your mouth shut.

Focal and Audison haven't blindfolded me, I know what I like, if you can't handle that...to ****ing bad, I've listened to MANY different comp sets, amps, subs and decks, I like what I like, and if I don't like something there's a good reason.

Give me one good example of my veiws being "skewed off reality". Wanna get into the amp discussion again? Lets call Tim into this too for old times sake [Roll Eyes] I still stand by my statements.

I appologize for sounding like a brochure, I will agree with you on that, I get into great detail and big words that may be too much for some to handle, when I'm talking about something I know about.

I suggested something and you jumped on me for it....I didn't have a problem with you before now Marco, do I need tell you the same thing I tell Richard?

Brandon,
read the original post, he specifically asked where the cantons were in relation to the others. i see specific focus on the cantons in that question. you didn't give him an opinion of the canton vs any others even the Focals... you simply said buy the focals... uhhh blindfold...

i never said you should't share your opinion... just not to give advice.

as for having a problem with you, i don't but apparently you have one with me. this is the second time you've told me to well, buzzoff.

don't know what Richard/drama you're talking about... i can only guess its the Clark one. if so, i leave his record to speak to itself. if not, do inform.

one cannot change if one doesn't admit there is something wrong.

You're right Marco, I never did say anything about where the Cantons fall in relation to the other sets, I must have read the post wrong or misinterpereted(sp?) what he was asking.

I only ever give advise based on what I know.

I do not have a problem with you at all Marco, I've dealt with you in the past and you're a great guy, but I don't ever recall telling you to buzz off before this. And if I have, I appologize, I'm not here, believe it or not, to make enemies.

Hrm, maybe I should look into that...

But to add to the original question, I totally agree with everyone who added positive remarks about Canton products. I think I was re-introduced to their car products by Marco... but since have had the opportunity to hear more of their components, and I must say they offer great performance for what you may pay. I've been priced for some of their 3-ways and at that price I don't think there are many manufacturers out there that can offer anything as natural sounding. They're more laid back than most of the mainstream brands too.

I'd say it's a promising choice.

I've heard them in a car once...I think it was in Michael Peckham's car if I'm not mistaken....they sounded....meh. I'll stick with my Utopia's....The car had great stage, and image, but the tonality wasn't what I'm used to I guess. Although, I haven't a clue what model they were or anything, but from what I heard, they don't keep up to Utopia's tonnally.

But indeed Dukk is right, world class cars HAVE been built with Canton....well, one that I know of
YOu thought the sounded "meh"? Gimme a freakin break you focal ****, Mike has got one of the best sounding setups I have ever heard, hell he has been the IASCA world champ in SQ 2 years running for christ sake!

Cantons would be a great choice i have hear several set and the sound great.
defenatly up there with the likes of focal and bostons.

also would be well off the beaten path for a competition speaker choice.

Yea so?

Just because you liked it, doesn't mean I did.

I did like it, it just wasn't one of the vehicles that made me go WOW.

Mike's got a great car, very clean install and nice soundstage, but I thought it lacked in tonality.

Sound is subjective, everybody hears differently....so STFU about being a Focal ****.
