I think people have become to abosorbed in brands to know what sounds good anymore. Hell Ive had the guy who judged the 2003 IASCA world finals sit in my car and tell me how good it sounded and after he finished listening he asked what I was running so I told him, Panasonic coaxials in the doors and prestige tweets on the dash all being run off a thump 4 channel amp, lol. The reason it sounds as good as it does is because of how its setup, how I tuned it, and I run an excellent source unit.

We used Canton's 4,6, tweet combo in a client's vehicle years back and he did quite well. He had very nice tight midbass and a wide, yet precise soundstage -- I would happily use Canton gear in any car.

Many of us have brands we like, but you have to remember that having a bias clouds your judgement. The only way to totally judge a speaker is to listen to it in the car.
