CDA9887 time alignment
Is it just me or has anyone else out there noticed that time alignment on the Alpine CDA9887 isnt as acurate as some of the older units, namely my old 9813. I just cant seem to get my center image as focused with new deck as the old one, maybe its just because I havent spent enough time with it in my new car as I did with my 9813 in the old car.

How did you calculate and measure your delays? Maybe if you explain your procedures and measurements we might be able to possibly give some tips. I have had lots of experience with the alpine units of the past up to the 9835, but since then have stopped installing Alpine products.

Time alignment for example is accurate to within 1/2" when Imprint is employed.
Without Imprint this is just an average ho-hum deck.
Are retailers/installers not offering the Imprint service? If not, why?

The shop im at is. but it doesn't alway work and it sometimes takes up 3 trys to get it right. plus the room must be dead silent for it to work so we only do imprinting on days the installes have off. and if your running active 2way setup with it it might take even more trys. we figure the imprint gets it really good when it works but it still needs some fine tunning when its done and it wont let you.
