Centre Channel for Matrix

Hey all,

I would like to install a centre channel in my Toyata Matrix. The best spot seems to by the centre vent which is roughly 3" round. Has anyone ever installed a centre channel in such a location? I am running a set of DLS 2-way 6.5" in the doors and they sound quite good. I would like a decent output from the centre but I might be limited due to the size of the vent. I am not crazy about those din mount centres as they do not sound that great.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

JJ

Make a center channel to go on the top of the dashboard then. Make like Dr. Bob and cut that dash wide open and glass up a center channel mount for a 6.5" speaker.

Very nice custom setup to say the least! The problem here is that the Martix is on a lease and hacking the dash might not be a good idea. Hmmmm, this is looking to be quite the bummer for me.

Thanks

Worry about that after the lease is up!

A center channel? I hope that's for 5.1...

Anyways, the middle round vent looks 'ok' but it's not centered in the dash.
I would opt for making a pod that sits on the dash.

Would time correction assist with this? I have an Alpine 5.1 amp with processor that allows for time correction adjustment.

Thanks

get a custom built center channel pod made for your car that can house the speaker of your choice. The car is on lease, so your only real option is an add on pod.
